Low Classic’s Paris debut presentation showcased the brand’s
years of research into the perfect equilibrium between the
contemporary and the classic, the daily and the surreal.
The presentation took place at the Espace Commines with its glass dome ceiling paired with the minimal white-cube-like
interior, the 19th-century architecture offers spectacular beauty and
a heart-warming atmosphere. A radical and minimalistic scenography
emphasizing cutting-edge technology creates a dissonant harmony with
the century-old building.
Encapsulating Low Classic’s aesthetic and design philosophy, the
collection Spring/Summer '24 embraces notions of realness and body consciousness.
In line with the brand’s continual exploration of the fine line
between femininity and masculinity, the close-fitting pieces, combined
with ample and relaxed silhouettes, bring into being a more ambiguous
and complex version of the Low Classic persona.
The tailored garments which are quintessential of the brand, will
harmonize with a fluid wrap skirt, body suits, and tights in sheer
jersey fabric.
The color palette, eminently urban, will be comprised
of light grey, beige, pale orange, black and white, echoing the old
industrial building. The seasonal prints draw inspiration from highly
heterogeneous visual elements: the dystopian urban landscape, antique
Spanish vases, and floristry to reflect the brand duo’s quest for
balance between contemporary and classical beauty.
The jewellery line
with bold and whimsical details will express a self-assumed
femininity. For the Spring/Summer '24 collection, the brand introduced its new bag line, 'Cube', the geometrical line of
the Cube enhances the fluid and multi-layered looks.
The presentation venue showed big screens while models were walking, being filmed and screened at the same time. The layering and styling, combined with the jewellery and bags showed a thought-out femine concept with edgy genderless details. We loved the skirts/bermuda's/dresses layered on wide pants, some mixed with pastel-colored leggings others with open-cut-socks and black and white booties. Outstanding look we found in the grey mini-dress with open back, worn with a black skirt and wide grey pants. The styling with the back chain and arm-warmers showed a contemporay feel of today's modern woman or man. Lace is a big trend this season and seen at many collections, Low Classic uses the fabric in thights, spaghetti-tops or skirts, mixed with airy fluid silks and jersey, or slightly oversized blazers.
