Saks Potts is a Copenhagen based brand launched in 2014 bij Cathrine
Saks and Barbara Potts. They were both born in Copenhagen and growing up
together inspired the importance of the Copenhagen roots and lifestyle
for Saks Potts. Saks Potts staged their Spring Summer '24 show at a
200-metre oceanside catwalk, along the banks of Øresund on the
Kystvejen, or 'coastal road', the longest Saks Potts runway.
Being in the danish nature, breathing in the fresh air from walks in
the forest or by the sea, they rewind and get inspiration for new
ideas for the Saks Potts which might give the Spring/Summer '24
collection a practical touch. Sitting in a long row of plastic beach
chairs facing the water of the east coast, and braving the rain, the
brand showed a collection encompassing the ideal holiday wardrobe. A
mixable and matchable smorgasbord of slip dresses and bikinis, easy
silk pants and striped poplin shirts. “It was really important for us
to limit the collection so that all the pieces, more or less, could
fit in your suitcase when you go on vacation,” says founders Barbara
Potts and Cathrine Saks. On the mood board were enviable images of
celebs on super-yachts and dancing at beach clubs like Uma Thurman and
Lily-Rose Depp, as well as vacation snaps from the duo’s own travels.
The bad rainy cold wheather couldn't kill this vibe as models were walking fierce against the wind and showed every girl's vacay dream.
Our absolute favourite looks were the two matching silver looks; one trenchcoat and one loose-fit pants with cropped jacket. We also loved the combinations of swimsuits and bikini's, worn with wide (denim) pants, worn as a croptop, worn on a beige midi skirt etc. The most tailored look showed by oldest Hadid sister, Alana, was everything the Copenhagen brand is known for and why we are loving Copenhagen Fashionweek.
