Margiela exhibition Paris

The last couple of years there were a lot of fashion exhibitions but, when into fashion, this one is a must-see/go. The overview of Martin Margiela's work is now shown at the Palais Galliera in Paris. I visited the exhibition during fashionweek a view weeks ago. This overview shows how relevant Margiela's work (still) is and how much he brought into fashion. He used and reproduced vintage clothes, started with oversizing clothes, invented the DIY,  used cut fringed zooms, made giant puffercoats out of duvets...  just to name a few. All things we see now, high on trend due to the immense popularity of oversized streetwear styled clothes Demna Gvasalia designs voor Balenciaga and Vetements, is inspired by Martin Margiela.
