Issued by Bottega Veneta 01






Is it a magazine? Not really I would say, it's more like a journal but that doesn't cover it either. So what is Issued by Bottega? As we all know Bottega Veneta vanished from all social media platforms but came back at the beginning of April, with this digital journal Issue01. It's aimed to be published online quartely at the brand's official website.  

While other brands produced a filmfestival, made a videogame, uploaded content on tiktok and 24/7 multimedia experiences on Instagram, Bottega Veneta chooses to make this first Issue without words only visuals, and made for a small screen instead of a computer. It is more then a quick tiktok movie, a story or post on instagram It draws you into the world of Bottega Veneta, the runway, the new collection, the mood and vibe. Not only to see the new wardrobe pieces but also to get inspired what (visual) artists take out of the collection and the brand. 
We see balloon art, jelly handbags (I only published one, go see for yourself cause it's really good seeing the othe Bottega-jelly's), shoe hedges, drawings by Biba Barbara Hulanicki, photographs of Missy Elliot by Tyrone Lebon and many more. 
I guess what happened to me, is happening to a lot of others, I was curious to see what else would be there and spend at least half an hour on the journal. 
While on Instagram you swipe and scroll around, lead by the algorithm (maybe to content you don't even want to see) consuming content thoughtless. Don't we all know the feeling that we designed a post with all our time, care and creativity and it just mounts up in all the content out there. So I love the time and space Daniel Lee has given the artists and photographers to interpret his work and let them create their vision on his work. 

Go check it our for yourself, I'm sure you get inspired, isn't it about the drawings then it will be by the visuals, the photographs or the sounds(!). Looking forward for Issue02.
