Always combining art with Paris Fashionweek and we were very pleased to see
that Anthony Vaccarello has chosen to pay tribute to the works of Robert
Mapplethorpe. Original works by Mapplethorpe are displayed in the Saint Laurent Rive Droite stores in Paris and Los Angeles and in collaboration with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. The exhibition contains an exclusive selection of artworks from the artist; silver
gelatin photographs and polaroids of still lifes, portraits and nudes. The
artworks are exposed through both floors of the Rive Droite store,
surrounded by the new Spring/Summer collection.
Completing the exhibition Anthony Vaccarello has designed a unique lifestyle collection in
collaboration with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation. This unique limited edition includes bags, leather goods, clothing,
porcelain, and pillows. All lifestyle products are illustrated with a photograph by the artist and
are available for purchase at both stores.
We absolutely loved the porcelain with photographs on it, simple, aesthetic
and very chic. Also the bags are stunning, not cheap, but a must-have for
all Fashion and Art lovers.The exhibition can be visited freely until the 7th April in the Saint
Laurent stores in Paris and Los Angeles. The limited edition can also be bought online.
