The designs feature square-shaped drapes and fringes extending from
collars and hems, alongside sharp tailoring in doeskin, a fabric traditionally
used for formal wear. Functional pieces in glossy nylon taffeta add contrast,
floating lightly against the richness of matte-textured wool. The collection
balances fluid, generous volumes with structured tailoring. Layering is a key
element, incorporating bottoms paired with dresses, scarves that blend into
sleeves, and reversible skirts worn like tabliers. This free-spirited approach
creates a luxurious, contemporary nomadic style defined by versatility and
ease. The color palette is equally refined, blending soft shades like moss
gray, ebony, steel gray, and greige with warmer hues such as topaz, dusty
purple, and mulberry.
We especially appreciated the warm yellow pieces, which provided a striking
contrast to the softer, air-toned color palette. The layering and styling
stood out, crafted with exceptional care and a deep appreciation for the
fabrics, enhancing the clothes designs. A special highlight goes to the men's
and women's bomber jackets and long hooded coats (first gif and first line; right pictures), featuring parachute details on the front and back, adding a
distinctly trendy of-the-moment edge to the collection. The collection
redefined luxury through a modern take on tailored style, with Ujoh
effortlessly combining timeless sophistication and cutting-edge design to
create well-crafted garments.
