At Palais de Tokyo we were backstage and on the runway with Gauchere, showing their Autumn/Winter collection last february at Paris Fashionweek. The french house is founded by designer Marie-Christine Statz, aiming timelesness in her intuitive and minimalistic designs.
The fall winter collection is inspired by brutalist architecture and male tailoring; giving women strength with bold shoulders and focus on the shape of the waist. This silhouette is one of the key silhouettes coming back in several forms and shapes. The looks contain big coats, oversized male shirts, tuexedo-like pants and blazer(favourite!), pleated skirts and some leather outfits or details, all worn with either mules or low boots or statement jewellery, like the big earrings. Our absolute favourite are the oversizeds beautiful grey trenchcoat, the camel trench coat Lena Hardt is wearing, the tuxedo blazer and the black leather skirt with grey leather shirt.
Overall a collection you can wear over and over again for years due to comfy- and timelessness. Chapeau!
