Welcome to Kith Paris, openend last march during the the lockdown, unable to
visit back then because they were continuous fully booked (remember making an
appointement while visiting a store?) Anyways we finally visited the store
last fashionweek and it is a defenite must if you are a design and interior
lover.
The European flagship store is designed by Snarkitecture’s Daniel Arsham and
Alex Mustonen, two artists with an incredible amount of street credit, the
design is meant to blend the retailer’s minimalist, urban vibe with elements
that reflect the city. "The store is a true reflection of the Kith lifestyle
and we can't wait for our community in Paris to experience it" says Ronnie
Fieg.
The Paris flagship store features Kith’s signature barrel-vaulted ceiling
lined with plaster-cast sneakers; the Air Max 1, in this instance, which pays
homage to France’s innovative Pompidou Center. Other highlights include a
parlor-style cereal canister wall and a restored Carrara marble staircase,
along with a glass-covered courtyard that houses Sadelle’s, the first
international outpost of the famed New York restaurant.
The collection exists of Kith own design as wel as vintage pieces and what the
brand is known for, collaborations with other designers and artist. Downstairs
is filled with gadgets, books, little gifts and just things to look at and
adore. PS Don't hesitate and go to the toilets when there. They are totally
made out of black marble, would be a shame if you missed them...lol.
