The Loewe Fall/Winter ´21 show has been cancelled

 

                           

The show that was cancelled... announced globally as a newspaper supplement in a selection of different publications; Le Figaro and Le Monde in France, El Mundo in Spain, The New York Times in the United States and Japanes The Asahi Shimbun. We love fashiondesigner Jonathan Anderson for his  creativeness during the pandemic, giving his new collections the unique attention it deserves without welcoming any public.  

“Jonathan Anderson has called this ‘A Show In The News’. His evident intention is to reach beyond a fashion focused audience with this supplement, which showcases images of LOEWE’s upcoming styles. And fashion is about a moment in time, inherently connected to a daily newspaper, which serves as a record of the ‘now’. Alongside imagery, the LOEWE newsprint edition contains an extract from a newly published book by the acclaimed novelist Danielle Steel. Its title is ‘The Affair’. Its inclusion here references literary traditions: the serialization of famous works in nineteenth-century newspapers by figures such as Charles Dickens and Alexandre Dumas. Today, Ms Steel is the world’s best-selling living author, with 800 million copies of her 180 books sold.” – from Loewe.

The collection was vibrant, colorful, almost graphic, bold full of cropped trousers, leather body pieces, long tailored coats, geometric patterns, long draped dresses, lug-soled boots, big loafers and mules. The jewellery was twisted and knotted, like the details in the dresses, in gold and silver and there were some distorted chain necklaces.

What we thought and loved.....the collection shows the joy of making fashion and we went pretty happy of all the mules and bracelets which were combined together. The bold white coat (left gif with the golden chicken ;-)), definetely our wannahave-coat for next season, plus the two variations of the knotted cream white dress; pure happiness!
