Barbara Bui Spring/Summer '22 Paris Fashionweek

As seen on Paris Fashionweek last march, presenting in her shop at Avenue Montaigne 50, Barbara Bui's current Spring Summer '22 collection.
Barbara Bui about her collection movie: "We wanted to highlight our contradictions, our paradoxes as women". ..."It is important to express women's viewpoint, but subtly, without being literal.".... "I wanted to bring a multifaceted vision of feminity to the screen, to show that there are many ways to be a woman."
We definetely saw all kind of garments appropriate for a variety of moods and activities. As the collection contains the episodes; Minimalist!, Graphique, Under the open Sky, Pastel Symphony and Timeless Tailoring, designed with the Barbara Bui signature of blending feminity with masculinity. The color palette consists out of neutral/creamy/beige tones and green warm red earth tones. The designer uses differrent kind of light fabrics like silk, linnen, cotton and airy wool with the well known brand's cut and quality. The garments are best to describe as minimalistic and feminine but with an easy-chic edgy side which makes them wearable for every kind of occasion.
Favourites and caught our eyes immediately; the black mules with chains (also comes in white) perfect shoe for this season as clogs are making a huge comback. The classic beige mules were favourite as well, never out of style and probably to wear for years. We also loved the wide breathy silk light-brown pants combined with just a simple tanktop (second .gif).
When in Paris the Barbara Bui shop at Avenue Montaigne 50 is worth a visit as the interior is filled with beautiful designer chairs and pouches.

{ MASCULINE / FEMININE }, n. - The BARBARA BUI signature: blending femininity with masculinity. The designer ignores norms, breaks down barriers and draws inspiration from men’s classic wardrobe for women’s clothing. With its feminine cum boyish lines and proud tomboy designs, androgyny is a central theme of the house’s collections. “Highlighting the best in everyone without making a gender distinction”: the clothes adapt to the person rather than to the gender. Barbara Bui blends genders just like she does materials: combining enveloping knit with raw leather, vinyl and quilted nylon, luxurious silk and wool knit, bringing opposites together, she mixes rock with classical notes, and emphasises paradoxes, displaying urban hues alongside couture variations.
