For the second time on the offical Paris Fashionweek calendar and fan after seeing the Spring Summer '22 collection (find it HERE), Le Cavalier showed their Fall/Winter '22 at Palais de Tokyo last march. Creative director Marie-Eve Lecavalier explored the French-Canadian codes through a punk lens. With sustainability as a central value, the collection presents traditional wear into the universe of Le Cavalier. Using leather from deadstock and other upcycled materials, the designer showed plaid patterns, oversized workwear, oversized knitwear silhouettes, using weaving techniques and distorted plaids.
We absolute loved all the knitwear designs and the leather woven garments. Like in the Spring/Summer '22 collection, it is the the woven leather which is the highlight of the outfit and can be mixed and matched with all the other pieces to create a totally differerent look. The balaclava is here to stay and comes around in different shapes and forms. We love it mixed with a oversized puffercoat or a dark grey or black wool coat.
Our top look is the full knitted outfit with oversized jumper, skirt and leg- and arm warmers to finish it off. Special mention for the wool grey coat, tailored sleek, yet feminin.
