Yume Yume Spring/Summer '26 Amsterdam Fashionweek

Yume Yume presented its debut at Amsterdam Fashion Week, transforming the Willet-Holthuysen Museum garden into a runway that blended fashion and nature. The Spring/Summer '26 collection, 'Flora Fantasia', showcased nature-inspired designs. Known for their footwear, the brand introduced ready-to-wear, accessories, and eyewear. Creative director Eva Korsten drew inspiration from the praying mantis, symbolizing change and growth as aid in the press release; "Lush, layered, untamed - wrapped in warmth and wonder, every piece whispers of metamorphosis, where fantasy and flora intertwine in full bloom."

The collection showed change through flower-like headpieces, big skirts, oversized gloves, and jackets that were both strong and soft with a voluminous silhouet. There were also cropped oversized blazers, padded jackets, and cropped blazers tied at the back with strings. A standout piece was a white scuba bodysuit with bold shoulders and a floral print, also shown as a co-ord set with shorts and a crop top, and a voluminous mini dress, one of our favorites looks. The leather designs resembled patchwork, with contrasting panels on the back and sleeves. Some standout looks included maxi balloon skirts that sat high at the waist, styled with simple tank tops and finished with ruffled hoods (first picture). A striking look featured black thigh-high boots paired with a textured, cracked leather trench coat, creating a bold and edgy silhouette.  As the brand is known for its padded flip-flops and heart-shaped heels, this time boots crafted from sheep wool stood on stilettos, while sandals featured the signature heart heels as well. All coming in bold striking colors matching the outfits.

Special mention goes to the long white leather gloves, which stood out with their oversized fit. The hairstyling also deserves a shoutout, adding an extra layer of impact to the outfits and the collection as a whole. With this ready-to-wear collection, Yume Yume showcases its commitment to originality and conscious design, using fashion thoughtfully to shape identity and help clients stand out, exactly the brand's goal.
