Copenhagen fashionweek isn't fashionweek without visiting one of the biggest Nordic brand, known far beyond Copenhagen, By Malene Birger. For this season the designer chose to do a small presentation of the Spring Summer '23 collection in the store. Maja Dixdotter, designer of the brand, remained loyal to the bohemian minimalist direction she's set for the brand. Gathering pictures together she established the color palette, mainly neutrals with red as pop-up color.
We saw what we expected to see from By Malene Birger; great tailored suits (sleek as well as slightly oversized), long dresses, unexpected small and long fringes added at a big cape collar or blazer, long soft knitted skirts and silk bermuda's with deconstructed seams to give it a more edgy look.
The looks were combined with sandals, slides, mules with kitten heels and low booties with kitten heels. All dressed off with mini bags worn as jewellery or the opposite of those, the oversized leather bags.
Our absolute favourite look is the silk suit with short bermuda's another standout look we found in the creamy oversized jumpsuit. Actually there wasn’t any thing not to like. Oh and mention the big oversized tote. We say bye to the mini bags and welcome to this big one. Ps great interior inspiration as well in the store, go there when in Copenhagen.
