Jade Cropper Spring/Summer '23 Copenhagen Fashionweek

On the roof of a car park, in the city centre of Copenhagen, Jade Cropper presented her second collection in a massive tent. With the bombing beats of Missy Elliot and M.I.A., a lot of smoke and a ashly grey catwalk Cropper set the tone for the presentation. In this collection Cropper wanted less perfection and more reality, therefore she turned into her mothers photographic studies of "decaying leaves and flowers" for inspiration.

This season the designer is collaborating with Swedisch brand Circulose, whose fabric is made entirely from discarded textiles. Back in her atelier in Stockholm, Cropper handly made the collection dying and deconstructing the fabrics herself. All these new influences don't mean Jade Cropper has given in her signature design-style. There is still a lot of sexyiness, asymetric cut-out tops and extremely low trousers.

A color palette of soft blue, pink, white tricot knits passed by in different knotted  crop-tops,  dresses and sleek and slink skirts. A denim dyed oversized and bold shoulder jacket, combined with skirt with the signature metal fastenings Cropper is known for and our absolute favourite look the long mermaid skirt, as wel as in brown as in dark red. Another outstanding look we saw in the brown logo dress with the unexpected cut-out from chest tot the belly.

The designer aimed "less perfection" in her collection, she suceeded, it was and we loved to see some raw edges in this "filtered" world. Looking forward towards next season!
