This season, Tanudiredja looked to his personal memories for inspiration. The
new collection showed where the brand is known for; detailed handmade work,
strong architectural shapes, and a balanced mix of softness and strength. Many
dresses and coats had pleated, origami-like details. These gave the pieces a
sculptural volumious look. Jewelry look-a-like details added shine to the
garments; dresses had beads, sequins, and colorful appliqués, giving them a
decorative look. These details also showed up on accessories like the teddy
bear bags and belts with gold chains while light organza and tulle added
softness and air. In collaboration with longtime friend Mikio Sakabe, the
footwear label Grounds (hottest Tokyo brand among the young Japanese fashion
lovers) created platform shoes in bright colors, each decorated with sequin
flowers that matched the collection's feel.
The most impressive look was a grey, pleated, voluminous skirt that flowed
beautifully as the model walked. Paired with a black washed denim jacket and
Grounds beaded sneakers, it was a perfect Tokyo dream outfit. Another favorite
was a simple white dress from layered sheer fabrics, adding depth and
sophistication, and styled with just a black belt. The men's looks were also
eye-catching: a cream co-ord set, a white bermuda (Why not?) outfit with black tights
combined with a black coat, and a brown cape coat look.
Instead of following strict seasonal schedules, the designer releases
collections when inspired, making each show a personal and artistic
expression. By blending skilled craftsmanship, storytelling, and bold shapes,
Heaven Tanudiredja’s work shows a style that combines shape, feeling, and
details. With the Fall/Winter '25 collection the brand presents fashion
as wearable art, with each piece carrying a romantic yet modern feel.
