Sean Suen Spring/Summer '27 Paris Fashionweek

Sean Suen presented his Spring/Summer '27 collection last june when a massive heatwave hit France, pushing temperatures past 40°C (104°F) and triggering a national Code Red emergency. Even with the emergency, the shows and presentations went on. Brands tried to fix it with mist machines, cold water, and earlier start times instead of canceling or changing plans. Sean Suen adapted his presentation into three mini-shows in the courtyard of École Duperré. Backstage was sweltering. Air conditioning is rare in Paris due to its historic, monumental buildings, so the team relied on huge fans and endless water. Models were dressed at the very last minute to stay cool, making the 'sweaty look' the unintentional top trend of Paris Mens Fashion Week. Sean Suen's Spring/Summer '27 collection called; 'Hidden One', explored the idea that we can't see everything at once. Presented at Paris Fashion Week, the collection mixes different shapes and styles, some obvious, others subtle, reminding us that what's right in front of us is only part of a bigger picture.

Sean Suen considers what remains beyond immediate visibility. Sean Suen Spring/Summer '27 collection brings together different forms, references, and ways of seeing. Some appear clearly. Others remain at the edge of perception. Certain connections reveal themselves only. Gradually. Hidden one is not about concealment, but about the impossibility of seeing everything at once. What is visible is only part of a larger whole. 

The collection explores the idea of what exists beyond immediate visibility, hidden identities, unseen forces, and subtle emotional states expressed through clothing. Some of the collection’s defining characteristics include: Soft, fluid tailoring with elongated proportions and relaxed suiting. Layering and translucency, creating garments that partially conceal and reveal the body. Muted neutrals to ivory, stone, charcoal, black, and dusty earth tones with occasional understated color accents. 

Experimental construction, including asymmetric draping, deconstructed jackets, and sculptural outerwear. Contrasting textures, combining crisp tailoring fabrics with sheer textiles and lightweight technical materials to emphasize the tension between structure and impermanence. Sean Suen Spring/Summer '27 collection continues Sean Suen’s long-running interest in combining fine art, architecture, and contemporary menswear. Compared with the dreamy, Debussy-inspired SS26 Daydream collection, Hidden One feels more restrained and introspective, focusing less on surreal fantasy and more on quiet presence and concealment.
