Hopefully you're not dizzy lookin at these pics :-). This might be the biggest grid patterned project ever! It's made by artist Jean Paul Raynaud at La Maison in Ma Celle-Saint-Cloud in Paris. Jean Paul Raynaud started working on this project in 1969. He build the house with an interior almost completely filled with white tiles of 15 x 15cm. In 1974 the house was open to the public but the artist closed the house in 1988. Nowadays the house is demolished but fragments of it have been used in various installations which are (still) exhibited.
Jean Paul Raynaud inspired the fashionworld with his creation. Not only fashionshoots were inspired by La Maison but designers also used the gridpattern in their collections. Still we don't get enough of it cause many fashiondesigners are using the grid pattern again next season.
