Koché Spring/Summer '21 at Parc des Buttes-Chaumont Paris

"Love mother nature till she comes" just one of the poetic ribbons inspired by the work of Alex Ceccetti,  linked the models together, at safe distance, for the finale of the show situated at Parc des Buttes Chaumont. Designer Christelle Kocher, founded Koché in 2015, chose the park nearby her studio where she strolled around daily during the lockdown.
She recruited a cast of non-professional models: "I wanted to send a message about inclusivity, diversity and gender" as Kocher said confirming her values of openness in the fashionindustry; diversity and inclusivity of genders, bodyshapes, social and geographical origens. The Koché DNA is based on craft know-how and like many onther designers during the pandemic, Kocher expanded her interest in craft.
It shows on Kocher's well known embroidery but for this collection the designer hand-painted the bodies of the slipdresses herself. Lace was another decoration, as in real but also in photoprint, which gave the looks a sporty touch just like the uniform stripes where Koché is known for. Feathers decorated a big buckethat worn with a sporty striped grey/white look and a bustier combined with a high waisted leather styled pants (fav!!).

We completely de-stressed entering the beautiful green parc in the north of Paris and understood why Christelle Kocher chose this place to show her collection. This wide open green space was giving hope and celebrated life in all it's simplicity, so much needed in between lockdowns. And.... as promised accessible for everyone like the brand's goal; opening fashion to everyone, for everyone.
We loved all the asymetric slipdresses, wearable everywhere for every occasion, definetely fav the feather bustier with higwaisted black pants, the black bermuda with swimsuit-kinda-strappy-thing. Impressive was the model wearing just a white bralette with short white bikershorts, over-the-knee white socks, knocked of with killer heels (Do you dare?!?). Special mention for the boyisch pants and shirt with the black tie (little movie}.
(PS hairgoals on the blond male and female model, they looked gooood!)
