Dior Spring/Summer '22 Paris Fashionweek

Dior's head designer Maria Grazia Chiuri has a strong sense of the house’s heritage therefore the Spring Summer collection was a beautiful tribute to Dior’s archives. With the French house’s 60's Slim Look collection, making its presence known, the iconic legacy of Marc Bohan was able to live on in the modern form as the themes of joy and freedom, synonymous with 60's style. “Something graphic and clean, minimal and positive", as the designer said.
It sure was an optimistic and vibrant perspective viewing the collection a few days after the show, where vintage met athletics (We posted about the clothes collection a few weeks ago, you can find it HERE). The collection features boots popping up in black or white, mixed with a selection of luminous colours. The same with Le Parisienne pump finished of with sporty colored laces, in black and white as well as in a more chic golden style. Down to all these varieties there were flats, sandals, slides with black prints as shown on the runway, block-heeled Mary Janes and sneakers.
Chiuri introduced more colors of the Dior Vibe bag, a combination of the house heritage design bags mixed with athletic influences, which debuted on the Cruise 2022 runway. The top handle bag comes in black, white and red. You can add a waterbottle holder to go with or a mini bag for just some small stuff. Talking about mini... the mini bags expanded with small micro versions of every bag design Dior has and come in a variety of colors and sizes.
The buckethats are amplified with a crochet design with the Dior logo applied on the front top. We fell in love with the cute knitted baret brightened up with a small veil on the front. We would style it with simple dress and sneakers, giving the baret all the attention it deserves. More favourites were the black leather Book Tote; chic, practical and timeless, the small creamy Lady Dior with new chain handle (just the pic above) and last but not least, the white Parisienne pumps with clear heels.
Can you decide?
