As we entered the industrial place where Stine Goya presented her
Spring/Summer '23 collection, our eye immediately caught the sand orange
sculptures. Designed by Spacon & X, who were working with Stine Goya for
her Fall/Winter '22 collection as well, the studio focussed on the element
earth. As the Spring/Summer '23 collection is inspired by the Riot Grrrl
movement of the 90's (known for it's a fierce feminine energy) the
designstudio aimed to capture this energy in huge sands sculptures,
exploding one by one reveiling a soft pink powder. The powerful
expression of the exploding sculptures was a good addition to Stine Goya's
collection. Between life's chaos of today Stine Goya searches for softness
and beauty in contrasts which was seen in the blown up shapes, contrasting
colors but also the sleek sensual and very feminin lines.
Stine Goya's Spring/Summer women are dressed to get out and show their
energie off; sparkling glitter dresses in blue and white but also a mesh
one, leaving almost nothing to the imagination (Do you dare?). Besides the
glitter dresses we saw fierce shoes and eyewear designs, streetwear inspired
bomberjackets, oversized in pink and embroided with pearls and colorful
looks with contrasting prints, which Copenhagen is known for.
Our far most favourite looks were the grey suit and tube top embroided with
pearls, also coming in a dress. We also loved how the designer combined the
bright fierce yellow with laque pants and a laque trench, styled with
Matrix-like glasses , for us the ultimate fierceful look. Special shoutout
to the blue ensemble; wide pants with a wide off-the-shoulder top. Ready to
hit the streets in Copenhagen.
