TAAKK estimated in 2013 by designer Takuya Morikawa who has worked for Issey Miyake for 8 years, opened Men's Paris Fashionweek. Reshaping the possibilities of menswear with a multidisciplinary approach, the Japanese designer showed some womenswear/unisex styles as well. With the desire to focus on making something beautiful and strong the collection is centered around the textures of compound fabrics and the elegance of our surroundings expressed through graphics. The designer works together with several expert artisans processing colors, graphics and fabrics treatments to bring his ideas alive.
We were impressed by the different materials and structures of the garments, like the yellow dress... fluffy like, but in reality not. This technique came back in several shorts and shirts in the menswear garments as well with a different graphic pattern. The denim was upcycled and deconstructed which gave it some rawness and totally in balance with the soft baby blue color of the material. We loved those looks!
Another favourite outfit was the green trenchcoat combined with a creamy hoodie, denim and mules. A big mention to the 'his and hers' white outfit cause it was amazingly beautiful made. The design showed everything the collection aimed to be; soft with the sheerness combined with the strong graphic patterns in the non-sheer fabric.
Our toplook? Obvious the oversized denim with matching bralette croptop combined with white fishermans sandals.
