Palomawool Spring/Summer '24 Paris Fashionweek

Inside the heart of the Marais, Palomawool presented their Spring/Summer '24 collection, blending a traditional runway with performance art and digital elements, exploring the beauty of ageing and our hypothetical future. Designer Paloma Lanna teamed up with friend and designer Carlota Guerrere balancing elegant feminine pieces with streetwear. The brand encourages us to embrace the art of evolution by using new fabrics, metallic knits, silks, jewelry belts, femine silhouettes and details. There are voluminous balloon skirts influenced by the 17th century painting "Las Meninas" by Diego Veazquez, hand-made embroideries by the brand's local suppliers in Barcelona; in style of the brand's sustainable design heritage, sheer pieces reveiling everything underneath, bandeau tops in gold and silver, a body-con brown dress, pleated knit dresses and skirts, all combined with ballerina's, mules or sandals. The brand choose an earthy colorpalette for this season with butter yellow and baby-blue as a fresh and bright contrast.

As Paloma Wool turns 10, this action serves as a symbolic representation of the brand coming of age, embracing what the passing of time brings and questioning ageism norms. An installation that links the presence of the models with portraits of their hypothetical future.” - Palomawool

Our favourite look which caught our eye directly; the baby-blue wide cargo-style pants worn with a balloonskirt over it and a golden bandeautop. Easy chic yet beautiful feminine and authentic. We also loved the butter yellow (color of the season!) cropped oversized cargo-style jacket with matching skirt. Obviously we are all into the 'sheer trend', and loving all them sheer tops, knits and dresses. Don't wanna show it all? Layer the garments over a tanktop, jeans, mix it with a blazer or leather oversized jacket, wear it with white tights etc. Or ..... go to the beach :)
