For the Spring /Summer '25 show, Auralee presented its collection at Hôtel
de Maisons, using the building’s beautiful walkways and historic decor as
a backdrop. Designed by Ryota Iwai and based in Japan, the brand is built
on a foundation of the finest raw materials and yarns sourced both locally
and globally. Surrounded by glass chandeliers and gold settings, the venue
enforced the the calm and romantic mood of the collection. At the finale
the models stepped into the hotel's garden and gathered together, it truly
felt like a walk in the park.
Top style pieces this season
included the striking black and burgundy red trench coats. The burgundy
trench made a bold statement on the runway, while the black version stood
out as a timeless classic. A notable update was the addition of a small
cape detail, reminiscent of vintage raincoat silhouettes. Another standout
was the unisex oversized brown leather coat, featuring large pockets, and
also offered in a bold blue-grey canvas. As always, the brand delivered
impeccable styling, especially with the luxurious cashmere sweaters,
casually draped around the neck or hips as stylish accessories.
The SS25 show also unveiled another collaboration with New Balance. After
the WRPD Runner and fresh colorways of the 990v4, the brand is now
introducing a new take on the 475 silhouette. The New Balance 475,
originally designed in the mid 80s, features a slightly elevated midsole
and a more durable outsole. In this latest release, the silhouette
receives a luxurious update with a suede upper. The release offers two
colorways: one in a muted, earthy palette of grey and brown tones, and the
other in a light green color-blocked design.
Collection notes:
A city park is a crossroad of stories. A place where people can find
solace in sharing, or in spending some time alone. Taking a solo stroll
for a daily breather. Finding moments of peace to quiet the mind. Auralee
SS25 collection is an observation of the many different characters and
individuals crossing a verdant park at any given time of the day. What’s
on their mind? Where are they going to? What are they wearing? Everyone is
unique. Everyone has their own distinctive style, and mindset to match.
Reflecting on variety and singularity,
Auralee SS25 collection offers options to interpret and define, with calm,
thoughtful creativity. A modern wardrobe of well-loved, time-honored
classics, that speaks of effortlessness, without forgetting a dash of
attitude. Hints of vintage and preppy come elevated and energized through
modern silhouettes and volumes, enhanced by the luxury of the
highest-quality original fabrications. Relaxed, loose combinations of
elegant jackets, shirts and coats convey confidence, unhurried and
nonchalant. A variety of blousons, laid-back but pristine chino pants,
compact knits and shorts in burgundy and rich navy blue are offset by
flashes of red outerwear. Lightweight gingham checks in soft shades make
for unexpected underpinnings.
As always with Auralee, materials are luxurious. Lightweight plain weave
fabrics are made with 100% cashmere, inviting the wearer to enjoy their
softness; canvas is made with high-quality ultra-fine wool; the texture of
chino cloth and gabardine undergo sophisticated processes to achieve an
unrivaled touch. Auralee welcomes plurality as well as individuality, the
energy of curiosity, the slow-paced refinement, the unassuming finesse,
the comforting indulgence in luxurious ease.
