Tiit Tokyo Fall/Winter '25 Tokyo Fashionweek

Tiit tokyo is based on the concept of an 'imagined dream of daily life'. Designers Sho Iwata and Hiroshi Takizawa, both born in Tokyo in 1985, established the brand in 2011. Tiit is recognized for its elegant, lyrical mood and distinctive atmosphere, combining contemporary design and materials with a focus on skin-conscious wear that enhances natural beauty. The brand made its runway debut at Tokyo Fashion Week during the Spring/Summer '13 season, and won the Fashion Prize at the New Designer Fashion Grand Prix in 2013. This season’s collection, titled 'Sparkle' was presented at Toda Building in Kyobashi, Tokyo. According the show notes, the Fall/Winter '25 collection was inspired by the Danish film When Animals Dream, reflecting the mystery of horror cinema and the haunting beauty of Scandinavian landscapes.

Where the film follows a young woman facing a frightening transformation and unreturned love in a small Nordic fishing village, the Fall/Winter '25 collection reflected the movie's mysterious, poetic mood through sensual textures and cool-toned colors. The show opened with soft gray tailoring, giving the classic menswear suits a feminine touch with ribbon knits, tweed, lace prints and rolled sleeves. The corporate style was reworked through the brand's design codes; pairing tailored pieces with bermudas and cargo-style pants and loafers. The looks were elevated with floral embroideries ands lace details giving the outfits a girly touch. Tiit's signature skin-conscious designs like the lace blouses, sheer shirts, and satin dresses created a  light, softer feel in the collection.
Our favorite outfit was the bermuda suit styled with a faux-fur coat, stylishly worn with knee socks and loafers. We also loved the all-brown look: a sheer lace dress layered over pants and paired with a short quilted puffer jacket. We were also charmed by the off-white, workwear-inspired jacket, cut short at the front and paired with a light beige maxi skirt.
